The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has rolled out a new site oriented to consumers that has some great resources for homeowners and community members called HouseLogic. HomeLogic has content covering home improvements, maintenance, greening your home, taxes, finances, insurance, and even ways to engage your community. NAR has introduced this site, with a sleek Web 2.0 look, to provide timely resources for homeowners to protect their investment in their homes and improve their communities.
Why Invest in HouseLogic?
Naturally, homeowners will want to know why NAR has invested to make this site available? No, I see no evidence this used used as a lead generation site for Realtors and the stated purpose is:
Helping consumers become more informed, responsible homeowners is [sic] important to the stability and value of the housing market – and your overall enjoyment of your home.
It appears they MAY ask you to partner on legislative issues that affect homeownership and that’s about the only catch I see for now, not a bad deal.
While flipping through various home improvement ideas and current homeownership issues, users of HouseLogic can add articles to their “binder,” creating a resource of saved ideas you can refer to at any time.
Check out HouseLogic and we’d love to hear your feedback!
