Rocky Mtn Builder Conference a great success!

by Alison Korell on October 12, 2008

The 2008 Rocky Mountain Builder Conference & Expo presented by the Colorado Association of Home Builders was a terrific success.  The keynote speaker set the stage beautifully with his mantra: GROWTH!  "Has this guy seen the newspapers lately?" you’re wondering to yourself.  Steven S. Little (www.StevenSLittle.com ) doesn’t need the media reports to understand that times are tough…especially for a crowd of home builders in 2008!  He presented The Seven Irrefutable Rules of Small Business Growth and showed the crowd how successful businesses push forward through tough times, keep focused on customer service and never lose sight of their purpose.

The conference goal was to bring those in the building community together to learn more through education, to increase their business connections through networking and to inspire the attendees to go back to the streets armed with new ideas.  Conference Chair, Sarah Gore of Gore Unlimited, was very pleased with the higher than expected attendance – a slump in registrants was expected since spirits in real estate are low.

Education seminars were varied and ranged from day-to-day needs such as Building by the Law: Liens, Trust Funds & Case Law, to the current credit crisis as addressed in the panel discussion Show Me the Money and as light hearted and just as essential as Spanish In a Pinch by 2nd Language Success, Inc.  Attendees were free to choose from 3 different courses per session.

It’s events like these that put the skip back in our step…in spite of the worst week on wall street!
